Owners Dominic and Tabbie are delightful hosts, keen to share their favourite features of this idyllic corner of the Surrey countryside. Set in a 17th-century cottage, the B&B has just one bedroom, so you will always be their only – and therefore the most important – guest, with complete privacy in a spacious bedroom furnished with king-size double bed, wifi and Sky TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and an en-suite shower room. The room is airy and light, and stylishly furnished, with wooden floors, Turkish rugs and Lloyd Loom chairs, and lovely views over the garden and the ancient woodland beyond. Breakfast is served in the downstairs dining room, and includes an excellent Full English with fresh eggs laid by their chickens.
Walnut Tree Cottage is dog friendly too, so you have no excuse not to get out and do try some of the many countryside walks that are possible in the surrounding Surrey Hill Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Indeed if you have decided against bringing the car, you won't regret it at all, with country walks and activities galore, from cycling on the nearby 'Surrey Cycleway' to horse-riding in the woods and llama-trekking at the local Merry Harriers pub – where, incidentally, they also serve excellent food. There are a couple more good pubs within walking distance, and many others not much further away; Godalming and Haslemere are pleasant country towns, with decent shops, pubs and restaurants; while you should also consider a visit to the spectacular small private gardens at nearby Vann or the larger and better-known RHS Gardens at Wisley, which are easy to reach by car. All this, and yet you have barely left London – Walnut Tree Cottage is truly of the best antidotes to inner city blues that we know of.

Walnut Tree Cottage has one beautiful bedroom with en suite shower room. Lovely views of the garden with all the visiting wildlife. The cottage is situated in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by ancient woodland. Muntjac, Roe Deer, Badgers, foxes, buzzards and Red Kites are some of the wildlife that regularly visit the property. Guests are welcome to roam the gardens and terrace at their leisure. Coffee & Tea making facilities are provided in the bedroom and breakfast is served in the private dining room.Suitable For

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a 17th century cottage in Hambledon in a quiet corner of rural Surrey near Chiddingfold just 35 miles from London. We are family and pet friendly and offer a good choice of breakfasts from a full English to fresh fruit and yoghurt. Room amenities include a private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities as well as satellite television. There are numerous activities to do in the area including walking, hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, visiting gardens and even llama trekking. There are also several good pubs and restaurants nearby. Tabbie and Dominic look forward to hosting you at Walnut Tree Cottage.

Getting There
From the A3 take the MIlford / Witley turn off and head towards Petworth on the A283. Drive through Milford and Witley and just after Wormley take the left turn to Hambledon. Take the next right on to Lane end and past the cricket green on your right and Hambledon Village Shop on your left. Keep going past Woodlands Road and the road become Vann Lane. Keep going for a mile, we are on the right after 500 yards from the Upper Vann Lane turning which is on a sharp right bend. There is a little white sign on the front lawn saying the name of the property.
Witley Station is a 10 minute drive away, Godalming Station is 15 minutes by car.
