- Quirky & Unique
Once voted one of the top places in Britain to enjoy the seaside, you'll want to climb aboard this converted Edwardian railway carriage, parked on the clifftop where it enjoys wonderful views over Cardigan Bay while serving as a deliciously original one-bedrooms self-catering property. It's cleverly done, retaining the character of the original carriage while providing light and bright accommodation for two, with a decent-sized bedroom with king-sized bed, an open-plan kitchen and dining area that opens out onto a deck and a cosy sitting room with wood-burning stove. Wherever you are in the property, you're aware of the sea views, and you'll almost certainly be able to spot cormorants and kestrels gliding just outside your window; if you're lucky you'll be able to see seals and dolphins too. You're just a few hundred yards from the sandy beach at Aberporth, the coastal path runs right by, and the county town of Cardigan is just a few miles to the south. Book well in advance for summer – it's popular!
