Forest Holidays do cabins holidays all over the UK, but the lochside setting of this site in Scotland will take your breath away. Situated at Ardgartan, where the pine-clad mountains sweep down to meet the shore of Loch Long at the edge of the Argyll Forest Park, a more perfect spot is hard to imagine. From the comfort of your cabin (or the luxury of your hot tub), you can enjoy magnificent views across the tranquil loch to the snow-capped mountains beyond. Or why not get active and hire a bike, go on a hidden glen safari or try your hand at gorge-walking?
The cabins at Ardgartan sleep between 2 and 8, with the top-of-the-range 'Golden Oak' luxury versions boasting an outdoor hot tub, log-burning stove, gas barbecue on the deck, and fluffy robes in the en-suite. If you can do without a hot tub, the 'Copper Beech' cabins are still pretty comfortable, and some of these are fully accessible and wheelchair-adapted too. You can even bring the dog if you book one of the specific pet-friendly cabins.
At the centre of the site the Forest Retreat hub provides a bit of civilisation, with its café and bar, shop and play area, bikes for hire, and wildlife-spotting and bushcraft activities with the Forest Rangers.
