Why stay by the water when you can stay on it? Classic Yacht Nadine gives you the chance for the ultimate sea-view stay – with no sailing experience needed. Nadine will stay moored for your time on board, so you can enjoy her facilities in privacy and regardless. Poole Harbour is a handy location if you want to explore coastal Dorset, with Sandbanks just across the water, Bournemouth's beaches nearby, Brownsea Island just offshore, and the Jurassic Coast a few miles south. But let’s be honest, you probably won’t be straying far from your yacht. Why would you? This 60-foot beauty offers a taste of life on board a classic motor yacht, and has a hot tub on the top deck for good measure.
This is a quirky take on self-catering and it’s great for a celebration stay. There are two cabins on board, both with their own bathrooms. The master features a super-king-size bed and its en-suite even has a small bath and rainfall shower. The other is twin-bedded, still with its own shower and toilet. Whether you come as a couple or a family, no one is crammed in here.
The cabins have portholes and are thoughtfully lit, while upstairs it’s light and airy with a spacious saloon, a dining area that opens to the outdoors and yes, you can access the bridge. The upper sundeck is where you’ll find the four-seater hot tub, the saloon is where you’ll head for the bar, and the galley kitchen is where your private chef presides – if you hire one, that is. It feels like that kind of stay, and the kitchen is good enough for a professional to whip up something special. But it's equally easy to self-cater.
This classic Loury Motor Yacht was built in 1975, but has recently been restored and upgraded – something you'll notice in the quality stainless steel kitchen, the highly polished teak of the decks, and in the Smart TV and superfast WiFi. Not that you need them – instead, spend your evenings listening to the sound of rigging tapping on masts and the waves gently lapping the side of your yacht, while watching the comings and goings of Cobbs Quay Marina.
