If you've been spotting sea pups on the shore at Horsey or are strolling down from Waxham, the Nelson Head couldn't be better placed, a short walk from the shore and on the way to Horsey Windpump and Mere. It does it best to remain as unchanged as possible, full of Nelson-related memorabilia and serving up wholesome if unspectacular bar meals lunchtimes and evenings. It's nice to sit across the road in the garden, or, if not, the front bar is a cosy place to eat, drink and fraternize with the locals.
