Whether you’re looking for DJs, a lunchtime fishfinger sandwich, a Sunday jumble sale, a unique pub quiz or, sigh, another festival, this is the place to come. Start the Bus is quirky and cool, with booths of cracked-leather seating, walls doodled with graffiti and lots of young and funky people in the evenings. Check out their listings for up-and-coming bands and DJs, or just drop in for the unexpected. It’s not a great place to dance but it does make a great start to the evening, and it’s not bad for lunch either. They also run Sunday jumble sales and the odd pub quiz.
