St Nicholas Market

St Nicholas Street, Bristol BS1 1HQ

St Nick’s, as locals call it, is the largest collection of independent retailers in the city. Within it, there’s a fantastic food section selling Welsh cheese, Moroccan tagines, charcuterie and more, as well as a Farmers’ Market along the street at the front on a Wednesday, and a Slow Food market on the first Sunday of the month. There’s more than food though: stalls within the glass arcade sell everything from fabric to secondhand books, retro furniture, pets and local art, and the backstreets of the market lead to some great pubs as well.
