Ever wondered what it would be like to be a shepherd?  Perhaps not – after all it does seem like a lot of hard work! Thankfully, Woodspring Farm encompasses all the joys of shepherding without any of the strenuous bits, leaving you to relax and enjoy yourself. The shepherd's hut you sleep in is as authentic as it gets, and slap bang in the middle of a massive field. – it sits on National Trust land, so there's outstanding views at every twist and turn. The hut has its own wood-burning stove, making it habitable throughout the year, plus a comfy bed and large range of camping essentials. Breakfast is delivered to you in a basket each morning, and for an extra fee, you can get a packed lunch made, filled with all sorts of locally sourced goodies – advisable, as you're right on the coast and only a stone's throw from some spectacular coastal walks.  If you plan in advance, there are some great activities and workshops on offer, running twice a month, including learning how to build using strawbales, identifying plants, wild food foraging, carpentry, felting and woodcraft, bird and bat watching and yoga to top it off.  You might enjoy the shepherd's life so much that you end up quitting the day job and starting a farm of your own.
