Cooler than any trying-too-hard gastro pub could ever be. Settle in amongst the distressed decor in Finnieston and enjoy excellent cooking that is more Left Bank than chain pub. The superb steaks, served with proper chips, are the highlight of a menu overflowing with tempting treats. Then there is the rum: they stock a brilliant range and shake up stellar rum cocktails. The menu also has excellent beef burgers, lamb kofte, chargilled jerk chicken and falafel burgers. Real thought goes into sourcing, with coley instead of other less bountiful white fish, and farmed sea bass rather than the less sustainable wild version.
