Edinburgh über chef Martin Wishart was not taking much of a gamble when he set up a second restaurant to follow his Michelin-starred Edinburgh eatery in 2008. The setting is the sublime five-star resort at Cameron House, on the banks of Loch Lomond, and there's a steady stream of well-heeled diners here to taste the great chef’s food. His eponymous Edinburgh eatery is well deserving of its Michelin star and this venture saw him returning to the kitchens where he cut his culinary teeth. The six-course tasting menu is a real treat, awash with fresh Scottish produce, salmon and crab, and infused with exotic twists and spices. The service is superb, the decor divine and late in 2011 the restaurant won its own, well-deserved Michelin star.
