The Carriageworks

In converted historic premises (an old Victorian carriage-making works overlooking Millennium Square), the Carriageworks is a terrific community theatre that promotes local talent while at the same time hosting some excellent touring productions, national and international. It’s a real mixed bag – new plays to workshops, performance art to re-staged classics – but if you want to catch the theatre at its rambunctious best (oh no it isn’t!) come for its regular and joyful Christmas pantomime.
