Stokes Cafe at the Collection

The Stokes family have been roasting coffee and blending tea here in Lincoln since Edwardian times – and very good at it they are too. They also operate a brace of cafés in the city centre, including this one, a bright and breezy modern place attached to Lincoln’s principal museum, The Collection. A self–service affair, the café does a great line in crepes, salads and sandwiches and their afternoon teas are a real treat. Be sure to wash the food down with a Stokes tea or coffee and don’t miss out on the homemade desserts. Also keep an eye out for special events, with classical music and jazz  to the fore.
