On wild little Bryher there is little choice of eateries for evening meals (it’s either here or Fraggle Rock Bar), and this place is a real winner with its no-fuss family cuisine, bustling ambience and BYO policy. In the daytime diners trickle in for toasted sandwiches, while in the evening it’s packed to the rafters with locals and visitors relishing classic British home cooking. There are just two dishes per night (one vegetarian option) so you might get lashings of steak and kidney pie, lasagne, curry, lamb ragout or a Sunday roast. Other dietary requirements are catered for with prior notice.
