One of the most atmospheric of all English hostels, Beverley's hostel occupies the historic friary buildings near the Minster. It's a beauty of a building from the outside – all warm red brick, fronted by shady private walled gardens – and inside there's been a major refurbishment, which has added en-suites to some rooms and upgraded facilities all round. The rooms sleep between two and eight people, but with only 32 beds it's an intimate, quiet base for lovely Beverley and its timeworn streets. The kitchen is particularly good, and there's a fine lounge with exposed beams and fireplace.

The Owner Says
Hidden away in the heart of the beautiful East Yorkshire market town of Beverley, the newly-refurbished YHA Beverley Friary is an enchanting retreat only a short distance away. The 600 year old restored Dominican friary has maintained many historical features, keeping both it's charm and character, and is set in a large walled garden giving you a truly peaceful break. Only a stone's throw from the charming Beverley town centre, you will be only a short drive from the impressive Yorkshire coastline, Hull's world famous aquarium and the expansive rolling countryside.
A beautiful lounge, showcasing period exposed beams and a stone fireplace, and complete self-catering facilities makes this a place that feels like home and will have you coming back again and again. Accommodation is available for up to 32 people, with a variety of bedrooms available for between 2-8 guests, of which some are en-suite.
