The Owner Says
With 14 pitches the our copse area is exclusively for couples which offer smaller pitches and a quieter retreat. Dogs are welcome on Tom’s Field, but we do expect them to be well behaved and the owners to clean up after them. We welcome guests with tents and camper vans only, sorry no caravans or electric hook up.
We are a small, quiet, family orientated site and do not allow large loud groups to stay. In order for our guest to enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings we have a no noise after 11.30 pm policy, and no music at any time.
Tom’s Field has a permanent toilet and shower block. Both the ladies and gents have 2 showers, proper flushing toilets and on the outside of the block there are two washing up sinks with hot water. We can also offer ice pack freezing at reception and phone charging all free of charge. We hire fire pits and sell small logs, kindling and British made charcoal. Each morning a small community run shop, from the village of Woodgreen, visits Tom’s Field bring essentials including freshly baked bread and milk.
Following the success in 2015 of the Wood Fired Pizza’s and the Fish & Chip Van we are pleased to announce that we will be offering this service again this year on the Saturday nights (Sunday’s too on Bank Holidays).
About Tom's Field
Tents, campervans, dogs – yes. Caravans and motorhomes – no.
It’s ½ mile to Sandy Balls Holiday Park (08442 491193), home to all the extra amenities you might fancy (including a swimming pool, bike hire and children’s playgrounds). There are a number of good cycle routes running past the campsite. Bikes are generally considered the best way to make the most of the area. Keep your eyes peeled for wild ponies and deer or spot them more easily at local wildlife parks. It’s a ½-hour drive to the Beaulieu Estate (01590 614621), home to the National Motor Museum among other delights, and less to Paultons Family Theme Park (02380 814442), home to Peppa Pig World, and hugely popular with little ones.
