The Slate Shed B&B

The folks behind the glamping and camping and cottages at Graig Wen also run a lovely boutique B&B, housed in what was once a Victorian slate-cutting mill. There are five (dog-friendly) rooms, decorated in a bright, contemporary style and equipped with flatscreen TVs, free wifi, posh toiletries, lovely Welsh wool blankets and bath robes. They welcome you with chocolates and a drink, and you can soak up the fabulous views over the Mawddach estuary during your stay (rooms Bran or Miri Mawr have the best views). Breakfasts are yummy, too, with everything sourced from local farms or friends and family – and a breakfast hamper delivered to you if you're feeling lazy. Meanwhile, everyone is welcome to enjoy the spacious communal Caban area with stunning views, honesty bar, books, maps and games.
