Titchwell Manor Shepherds Huts

There's luxury glamping and then there's the sort of glamping luxury you experience in the shepherds huts at the very cool Titchwell Manor hotel on the North Norfolk Coast. Situated facing a tranquil meadow behind the hotel, these huts are basically outdoor hotel rooms with all the amenities you would expect if you were staying indoors and with access to all the hotel's services too. It's glamping, but not as we know it, and comfortable enough for even the most reluctant outdoors type.

The hotel has two shepherds huts - appropriately, given the location less than a mile from the sea, named Samphire and Sea Lavender (or rooms 32 and 33 if you prefer!). The two huts have underfloor heating, king-size beds (with under-bed storage), en-suite bathrooms, a sitting area with a wood-burning stove, Bluetooth speakers and tea- and coffee-making facilities (including a Nespresso machine). Oh yes, plus you have your own sunken jacuzzi and large heated decking area with a comfy sofa area. Don't be surprised to find the other hotel residents looking wistfully out at your set-up as you laze in the sun or gaze up the Norfolk stars. Not only is your shepherds hut the very height of outdoor luxury but, unlike other glamping options, you are just yards away from your very own hotel facilities.

 Titchwell Manor is known for the quality of its food and has two restaurants sharing the same space – the casual Eating Rooms at one end and the more formal Conservatory at the other, both of which serve an excellent 3 AA-rosette menu – seasonal, local and always delicious – and on Sundays a choice of roasts. The hotel serves breakfast every morning and there is a cosy lounge and bar if you fancy an afternoon cup of tea after a long beach walk or simply a pint or a cocktail.   The Manor’s sister restaurants are only a few miles away, with both the fish & chip shop and pizzeria offering superb takeaways.  All in all it's perfect for couples looking for something a little bit different.
