A beautiful bolthole in the country on the gorgeous Pembrokeshire coast, with locally sourced food, big light airy rooms and a warm welcome, this family run B&B is quite a find if you're looking for somewhere to stay on the northern edges of Pembrokeshire National Park. Beautifully restored, it's the epitome of a cosy, well-run. boutique, independently-owned B&B, and it has a handful of well-appointed huts in the garden if you prefer to self -cater.

The B&B's four double rooms are super-stylish, crisply decorated and very comfortable, with handmade, super-king-size beds, good quality cotton sheets and vintage Welsh wool blankets. Each has a flatscreen TV, fresh coffee and tea-making facilities, good wifi and bathrooms with walk-in showers, fluffy towels and Myddfai Welsh toiletries. Not only that, the views are lovely, either towards the sea or the hills to the east. Last but not least, owners Meg and Jaap love the area and can suggest all sorts of things to do – they also serve superb locally sourced breakfasts, and can prepare packed lunches for days out and supper tapas hampers for the evenings.

Finally the garden is beautiful, planted with herbs and veg and home to a couple of Birch Huts, which are ideal for self-catering and very well equipped, with large and comfy beds, kitchen facilities and luxurious bathrooms with local toiletries and fluffy towels. Outside, you can relax in a 2-person hammock and while the evenings away around a firepit provided with all the firewood you could need. It's all exceptionally well done, and Meg and Jaap are on hand to deal with any requests if by some miracle there is something they haven't thought of!
