Finding decent self-catering properties close to Lewes town centre can be quite a gruelling task indeed. Thankfully, respite comes in the form of Green Wall Cottage – a sweet little hideaway in the heart of Lewes town centre. Think homely, cosy and comforting rather than chic and boutique and you'll get a good picture of what Green Wall is all about. The Victorian townhouse has been modernised to a fantastic finish with a bright fully equipped kitchen and bathroom; yet it still retains its stylish Victorian character with antique furniture, rugs and chandeliers. The cottage has one double bedroom, making it ideal for couples, but could potentially cater for small families on request. But the real charm of Green Wall is its location, for you can't get much closer to the town centre and all of its shops, museums and pubs. If you're looking for a local experience of Lewes, then it's a must.
