As the newspaper clipping on the door proudly proclaims, this fab little vintage shop was picked by Vogue in 2012 as one of the best 100 shops outside London – not bad for a shop which at the time had been open for just seven months. The shop’s name comes from a famous corner of the Le Mans racing circuit – a nod to the area’s Goodwood connection (the historic sporting estate lies just 10 miles away). The vintage gear – dresses, classic bags, jewellery, tweed jackets, sweet children’s dresses, umbrellas, suitcases, vintage toys, a nice line in hats, and much more – is all handpicked by owner Beverley Davis, and beautifully presented. A scattering of new products blends seamlessly in with the vintage offerings, including Harris Tweed bags by Catherine Aitken, and reclaimed bags by Tamara Fogle. If you’re heading off to the Goodwood Revival – Goodwood’s famous three-day event staged in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, the golden age of motor racing – there’s no better place to come to deck yourself out for the occasion.
