Dedicated to the promotion & development of British African, Asian and Caribbean arts and culture, The Drum is a creative hub covering all aspects of the arts, from dance to spoken word to theatre to comedy. It always has a packed schedule of events to entice culture vultures, mostly with a community bent and aimed at supporting art in the local area, which is very much at the heart of The Drum's programming. Young Gifted Brum is a free series of ongoing events designed to engage youngsters in the arts, with a focus on singing, drama and multimedia, and the shows it puts on in its 350-seat auditorium are adventurous affairs that aim to reflect the diversity of the UK’s cultural landscape.
