Opened in March 2012, Society sits plum on Kingsmead Square – a central Bath meeting area not short on cafes already. But Society has a lot to offer: the coffee (two bean choices) is brewed jolly well, cakes look tempting and service is super friendly. Plus, it's rambling: tables sit on the pavement outside for sunny days; there's bar-style seating for those who want to gaze out of the windows; you can sink into leather banquettes or chat around big dining tables; there's even a cubby hole for kids, with blackboard, chalk and playthings, to keep them entertained while you slurp.
