The Romans recognised the healing power of Bath's waters over 2,000 years ago, and you shouldn’t pass up the chance to follow in their footsteps at this cutting-edge mineral-rich spa. Cleanse yourself in an aroma steam room at the cube-like New Royal Bath, or take a dip in the more intimate setting of the Cross Bath, once a Celtic sacred site.

The Thermae Spa is one of the best things to do in the south west. I always take visitors to Bath for the day. The spa is a lovely relaxing activity to do, and makes a refreshing change from just wandering around the shops. You can hire towels, robes and slippers, but we just take our own bath towels. People of all shapes and sizes go, no need to worry if you don’t feel too body confident. This really is a year round activity, the outdoor pool is hot enough that I imagine it would be really lovely on a crisp winter day. The view of the rooftops and hills is out of this world. I completely recommend the Themae Spa, good value, great location and an unusual city activity.
It's amazing that this spa manages to still feel exclusive and special and yet stay affordable. We had a great time, the rooftop pool is great, the aromatherapy steam rooms were invigorating and we had a lovely lunch too. Could not think of a better girly treat.
The rooftop pool sets this place above the rest when it comes to spars Bath. Even if you don't come here for a treatment, it's a lovely place to spend the day. We went for a girls' day on a Saturday and had a thoroughly relaxing time, but the only downside was how busy it got. This is understandable though, given its quality.
This is THE perfect way to spend an afternoon in Bath. Head straight to the rooftop and lie back in the open-air pool for the ultimate in luxury. Take in the gorgeous panoramic views of Bath, then head downstairs to take advantage of the steam rooms. The treatments are pricey, but if it's indulgence that you're after, then they're well worth the money.
