Coasteering

TYF Adventure 1 High Street St David’s Pembrokeshire SA62 6SA 01437 721 611

We say

The guys at TYF invented the sport of coasteering, an exhilarating mix of scrambling, climbing, swimming and cliff jumping around the local coastline, so no one is better placed to introduce you to this fine adrenaline fix. Plus, their guides can take you on routes to suit everyone from families to full-on adrenaline junkies. They also offer loads of other activities, from stand-up paddleboarding to surfing and kayaking, so if it's coastal thrills you want, there's nowhere better.

Coasteering ★★★★☆

This really is an unmissable activity on the Pembrokeshire coast. I went (was the only girl) a couple of years back and would definitely do it again. It's real exhilarating fun.

The only thing is - don't expect it to be easy! Holding on to slate cliffs with bare, wet hands is fairly tough and when you slide off into the sea (which is inevitable at some point) it's easy to graze them.

The guys who run it are really professional and helpful and if you're looking for something a bit different to do seaside-wise then this is a top option.

Brilliant day out for teenagers ★★★★★

We had a mixed group of teenagers – thirteen to nineteen – on this in the summer. Everyone had a brilliant time, pushing themselves just a bit further than they expected ... or, to be more exact, jumping a whole lot higher than they had ever done before! Really nice people running the operation, too. Highly recommended.
