Wildlife, flora & fauna and lots of fun!
What better way to discover the countryside around Hebden Bridge than glide along the canal in a narrow boat? You really do see aspects of the landscape you miss from dry land, and the steady quiet is a great antidote to our increasingly hectic lives. Sean and Mary really look after you; Sean does a neat line in running commentary – he's got a broad knowledge of the wildlife and his enthusiasm is very engaging. The 40-minute scenic cruise departs from the Stubbing Wharf pub – no need to book, just turn up. The Sunday lunch cruise is great, or treat yourself to afternoon tea, complete with vintage china crockery and home made scones with cream and Mary's fab jam.
