Five Leaves Bookshop

14A Long Row, Nottingham NG1 2DH

Glory be, a brand new independent bookstore, opened in Nottingham city centre in November 2013 by Ross Bradshaw, a well-known local literary figure and publisher, whose Five Leaves Publications goes from strength to strength on the local literary scene. The shop is a medium-sized affair, well-lit and well-organised, and the stock is selected with great aplomb – classics in one corner, selected new books on a table top nearby and even an intriguing section entitled "Weird Stuff".  As it picks up literary speed, the bookshop will specialise in history and politics, fiction and poetry, lesbian and gay booksand international writing, and the emphasis will, be on independent publishers and promoting their wares with regular events and speakers. It's a lovely place to browse, no question, and is situated  right in the centre of town, down a narrow alley opposite the tourist office.  Who needs Amazon with a beautiful shop like this on your doorstep?
