Wiveton Hall 1 Marsh Lane NR25 7TE 01263 740 515
In a large barn down a narrow lane off the main coastal road, this unusual little café has a real folksy feel, not least because you can see much of the future menu growing in the surrounding fields. Home-made food (lovely tapas), great views of the marshes and friendly service.
A lovely little find though don't be confused as I was as it's not in Wiveton but off the road between Blakeney and Cley and is in fact a lovely shortish walk to do from Blakeney. Whether you want breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea it's a lovely place to sit outside, the sea in the distance on one side and produce growing in the fields on the other side. The cafe promotes artists and holds regular art exhibitions. It is also a pick your own fruit farm which always goes down well with children. Next time I'm in the area, I plan to go to one of the tapas evenings which I've heard are lovely.
