The Big Chill steers away from the grungy vibe of many nearby clubs in favour of something a little more classy. There are regular DJ sets throughout the day and into the evening, with house, drum ’n’ bass, r ’n’ b and dubstep, plus more mellow offerings of reggae, soul, rare groove and disco. The elongated lounge space is nicely decorated with murals, and an impressive bar serves up a long list of cocktails and beers, as well as filling burgers. Out front there’s a covered terrace area where you can watch fashionistas flooding up the street towards Brick Lane.
