Stein's of Richmond is more German than an Oompah band serving great steins' of foaming lager and sausages the size of paddle steamers. The only thing lacking - thankfully - is the leather hosen. Once a run down wreck of an ice cream shop Stein's have imaginativelyy turned this location by the river in Richmond into a Bavarian Gastro Pub - which makes a refreshing change from the usual alternatives. Granted if you don't like beer or sausage - this is not going to be your Bratwurst. But with its locations, easy style where you order your food from the counter and a reassuringly German menu that includes saurkraut, schnitzels and strudel as well as sausages this is a lively gastro option by the river. Wunderbar!
