We love this busy, buzzing gastro pub just up from the station, serving excellent food from a small, changing menu at moderate prices. It's a nice place for just a drink, but the food is the thing, serving good pub staples like sausage and mash, fish and chips and excellent burgers alongside more adventurous fare that would be worthy of a much higher end restaurant. They serve a range of roasts on Sundays, the vibe is relaxed, and it couldn't be more convenient, while being off the beaten track enough to make it more of a favourite with locals than tourists. A good choice of ales too. Can get busy but you can always book.
