Sandbanks Beach Cafe
Banks Road Poole BH13 7QQ
Located smack bang on Sandbanks beach this cafe has fantastic views across Poole Harbour and does surprisingly good food. The portions are very generous which makes up for the fact that it is a little more expensive than ordinary cafes and I really like the effort these guys make to be different.
I stop here for homemade cake and tea in the winter after a brisk walk on the beach with my dog and in the summer it's a very busy but lovely place to eat fresh homely food with a glass of wine in the evening. Try the local Moules, the awesome tuna nicoise with some kind of crispy coated poached egg and the fish sharing platter - all excellent.
Out of season it's less touristy so it's easier to find somewhere to sit and being a local I avoid the busy period anyway. Still worth trying though as it knocks the socks off the other cafes in the area...
