The Sandbanks Peninsula is home to some of the UK’s – indeed the world’s – priciest real estate. Check out the traditional harbourside houses squeezed in beside vast glass and steel mansions, owned by financiers, footballers and the odd Russian oligarch, including former Liverpool caption Graeme Souness and Queen's Park Rangers' manager, Harry Redknapp. Whatever you may think about their taste, you can’t deny the beauty of the setting, with Poole Harbour on one side and a long fine sandy beach on the other. When you need a break, join the WAGs for a cocktail overlooking the harbour at the trendy Café Shore.
Sanbanks has the best beaches in Dorset!!! Expensive to park for the day if you can't get parked up for free in a side road but worth it. You can walk out quite away into the sea whilst still only being waste deep- perfect for kids. You can also watch the big boats (and small) come in and out of the port from a safe distance. There's also gorgeous beaches. My friends and I always go here, as there's also a bbq area which is great!
