Cherry Trees Coffee House

West Quay Padstow Cornwall PL28 8AQ 01841 532 934

We say

Don't be fooled by the 'coffee house' in the name, this place is so much more than a harbour-side parlour for coffee and cake. It might be the mouthwatering roulades, cheesecakes and rich chocolate slices that lure you in from the glass-fronted cabinet by the door, but once you're hooked you'll find a menu chocked with local ingredients, from hearty breakfasts through to Cornish Cider Welsh Rarebit, lobster tart and seafood chowder. Pastel tea sets, padded benches and seaside art give the interior a retro feel, but being a rather petite place it does get packed, so you might have to settle for a pasty or cake from the express kiosk and eat it alfresco on the harbour wall opposite.
