The Owner Says

High Park is your own personal country hideaway nestled in the hills above Hay On Wye.
A place where friends and family can lounge together on sheepskin rugs by the big stone fireplace or marvel at the stunning views of the black mountains from the hot tub.
Hidden within the hills and accessed by its own private track at High Park you can escape the noise of the city and find the time to create perfect moments.
Whether it’s the outside kitchen with its danish pizza oven, the original collection of paintings and sculptures by local artists and craftspeople or the antique victorian benches marking the best views in the country, this luxurious self-catering homestead is immersed in both history and contemporary charm.
The 200 year old traditional Drovers barn has 2 bedrooms each with white linen bedding. Bedroom one has a dreamy king-size bed and bedroom two is a twin room, both will ensure a good nights sleep.
Just 15 minutes drive from the world-famous book town of Hay on Wye where you can discover galleries, bohemian cafes and artisan bakeries, it's the perfect place to spend a day or pick up supplies for that night's feast.
For the more adventurous souls who seek a retreat of the wild kind, there's plenty of country pursuits on offer, including horse riding, wild swimming and long hikes through the surrounding hills with panoramic views of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
After long country rambles as the sun begins to fade weary bodies can soak in the hot tub and wait for the stars to come out, whilst others will love toasting marshmallows and telling stories around the bonfire.
From afternoons filled with paddling in the stream and Champagne tasting on by the Lilly pond to evenings curled up by the fire; there's plenty to keep the young and old amused in all weathers.
