A cosy cabin for two that's close to some great walks and bike rides.

Right in the heart of the West Sussex village of Itchingfield, near Horsham, the Cabin at Church Farm sits in a field in a very private and peaceful position with views of the 11th-century parish church to the left and trees and fields all around. Beautifully decorated in vintage style, it sleeps two comfortably and as such makes for a perfect and inexpensive weekend away in the country for those looking to get out of London for a day or two. It's great for walking, close to the Downs Link between the North and South Downs and right on the West Sussex Literary Trail between Horsham and Chichester, which takes in all sorts of literary sights, not to mention beautiful countryside. They have bikes available for guests to use along with lots of local maps and suggestions for walks and rides, so it is perfect for a romantic outdoor adventure getaway for two. The cabin has a small double and a single bed, a large shower room, a small kitchenette with tea- and coffee-making facilities, a fridge and a toaster, plus a dining table for three. It's midway between a B&B and a self-catering let, so there's no cooker, but there is a barbecue available if you fancy cooking up al fresco, and a welcome continental breakfast pack of fresh croissants with homemade jam and marmalade is provided. Outside, a wide terrace area awaits you, with seating; if you fancy going out for dinner, the closest pub is a couple of miles away in Barns Green, and nearby Summer Ponds has 5 fishing lakes and a wonderful pontoon café, often with live music. The great thing about Church Farm Cabin is that you can leave the car at home and forget your cares by just going walking or cycling for a couple of days – it's an hour from London (30mins from Brighton) and the owner Cathryn will pick you up and drop you off at the station at no extra cost if you arrange it in advance.
