You may not expect to come across a restaurant of this calibre, tucked away along a slightly scruffy pedestrianized shopping street, but while its location may not be Weymouth’s best, the food here more than makes up for it. Chef Taher Jibet’s innovative and interesting cooking combines contemporary Mediterranan and Asian fusion influences with local ingredients to produce delicious dishes such as Dorest pork belly with ginger, lemongrass and thai yellow jus, or local turbot with ginger and sesame and an Asian style tabouleh. There’s a good value tapas menu at lunch, or go the whole hog with the taster menu for £60 a head.
