Barton Road Woolacombe EX34 7BA
Nothing to shake Ministry of Sound, but a club that’s been going since 1967 remains the first choice for a post-pub carry-on at weekends. Busy, boozy and all good fun, it offers a party pick-and-mix of alternative sounds: indie, punk, funk, disco, breaks and drum ‘n’ bass depending on the night. You're not in London, you're in Croyde so lay back and accept that this is a best-of-the-bunch party house that's all about having a good night out. Hardly a world famous venue (so far) but not a bad place to head for some late night laughs.
