With so many restaurants spilling out onto the harbour-front, it would be easy to walk straight past the staircase leading up to Seagrass. But it's worth seeking out, no matter how tempting the other eateries may look. Once inside you might not bag the sea views, but the food is so attention-grabbing that you'll forget about the scenery beyond your plate. Head chef Lee Groves (a semi finalist of Masterchef The Professionals 2010) brings together the best local ingredients – from fresh fish to hare and venison – to create dishes that not only taste sensational, but look good enough to rival the local artwork hanging on the walls. Staples from bread to ice cream are all homemade, and as well seafood featuring large on the menu, there's an oyster and champagne bar serving the likes of lobster, crab, mussels, razors, clams and a magnificent Fruits de Mer.
