Penrhiw Priory
UK Wales South Wales Pembrokeshire St Davids
01437 725 588 St Davids, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire SA62 6PG
- 7 Guest Rooms & 1 Suite
- Contemporary Luxury
Situated on the edge of St Davids in Pembrokeshire, Penrhiw is, from the outside, an impressive and imposing monument to Victorian grandeur. As soon as you set foot inside, however, it's clear the building has been restored to exacting contemporary sensibilities: suede wallpaper and contemporary artworks set the scene for a boutique venue that nestles in acres of private gardens, surrounded by woodland paths, river and meadow.
There are just seven en-suite bedrooms and a spacious ground-floor suite, all of which come with robes, slippers and aromatherapy toiletries. A continental breakfast is available each morning, and for dinner, head across St Davids to Penrhiw’s sister hotel Twr-y-Felin, which boasts the three Rosette Blas restaurant.
It’s only a short stroll into St Davids – Britain’s smallest city – with its cathedral dating back to the sixth century. You can also walk to beautiful Whitesands Beach, rated by many as one of the finest in Pembrokeshire.
