We all know the usual contenders, like Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland, the famed Somerset House, or the Natural History Museum ice skating, so for something a bit different, check out our hand selected 'a little bit different' festive ice rinks below...

Rooftop Ice Skating at the Tobacco Dock, London

For Ice Skating with an iconic view of the London Skyline, head to Skylight Tobacco Dock. Ice Skating at the Eden Project

If visiting nature's finest and immersing yourself in tropical biomes, outdoor adventures and quaint gardens at the Eden Project wasn't enough, Christmas has come to Cornwall. The Eden Project is once again home to a winterous festive ice rink until the end of January 2022. Apparently it's good enough even for Father Christmas to stop by, as they also offer the Father Christmas experience where you can meet the man himself and his magic elves too. Take a look.

The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink in Brighton

At first glance you might think it's stunning (with the historic pavilion just behind the ice rink) and twinkly and Christmassy (of course), but you might not realise what makes Brighton's festive rink a little different. Well the hint is in how they power it, and, although it might be white and snowy, it's powered 100% through green energy sources! So feel good about saving the planet whilst you whiz around Brightons sparkling ice rink this year! Open until January 9th.

Cardiff's Winter Wonderland

When we hear 'winter wonderland' it's easy for our minds to jump straight to Hyde Park, but the slightly lesser known Cardiff Winter Wonderland is an incredible festive treat. As well as a fantastic ice rink at Cardiff Castle, they also offer a festive castle 'Ice Walk' - a 150m track through the castle grounds allowing you to glide through the historic surroundings. After, why not retire to their ice bar - unless by then you're ready for a serious warming up! Let's go!

The Queen's House Ice Rink in Greenwich

London is ever-so famous for it's festive ice rink's after all, but... have you been to this one? This ice rink is sat on a UNESCO world heritage site, with stunning views of Greenwich Park and Canary Warf. Once you're done skating, you won't be so far from walking the Greenwich Meridian Line or stepping into the Observatory itself. Sounds pretty unique to us! Take a look.
