Holidays always go better when you manage to get some juicy insider info from a local; and that's precisely why Becky of Secret Cottage Tours has opened up her stunning home – a 16th-century chocolate box thatched cottage – to visitors wanting to see the real Cotswolds. Becky's Secret Cottage is a marvel in itself: original beams, inglenook fireplaces and winding staircases, but the real tour starts when Becky takes you to all of her favourite parts of the Cotswolds in her 7-seater Mercedes minibus. Throughout the six-hour tour, you'll see hidden old quaint villages, rolling hills, gardens, farms, and other hidden local gems. The tour includes a buffet lunch and ends back at the Secret Cottage, where you'll be just in time to see the freshly made scones for afternoon tea come out of the Aga.
- Two complimentary tours of the Cotswolds.
- One night's accommodation plus breakfast for two at one of the best pubs in the Cotswolds: The Kingham Plough who have successfully achieved a multi-award-winning balance between being a fantastic proper traditional pub, an exceptional restaurant and an idyllic place to stay with their rooms – all of which are newly refurbished – upstairs. Chef Proprietor Emily Watkins was the winner of the BBC's Great British Menu, plus the Kingham Plough has been listed in the Times Top 25 Country Pubs with Food, and is the 2015 winner of the Oxfordshire Dining Pub of the Year in the Good Food Guide.
