This is the B&B with the finest view on Bute. And it's also the home of the friendliest and most switched-on B&B owners on this Firth of Clyde isle too, making it not a bad place to stay at all. The six chic bedrooms (one has disabled access) are spread across a grand old house so it feels more like a boutique hotel than a B&B, especially with a large sitting room laden with books and toys for kids. There is the conservatory, which boasts sweeping views over the isle and out across the Firth of Forth and the Cowal Hills. Breakfasts are hearty and they can even do evening meals on request. And if you want to know anything about Bute, just ask Andy and Joan, as they seem to know everyone and all that is happening. On sunny days their massive garden beckons; when the weather closes in just cosy up with a booker your laptop in the sitting room – wifi access is free.
