Some may be put off by the slightly institutional air of this ecumenical college, where you breakfast with ministerial students or visiting choirs. Others may frown at the simple accommodation. But what a joy to step from a building designed by Christopher Wren into the peace of the cathedral close, and the rooms themselves are spotless. Although the premier class ones are worth the extra for their views of the cathedral. Modest but truly unique this is a different way to stay in Salisbury and one that will suit those who really want to feel a part of the woodwork when they visit this historic city.
