The folks at the Woolpack Inn in Eskdale also run this eco-friendly B&B nearby. Actually, it’s ‘more than just B&B’, or so they say, by which they mean there’s a kind of house party feel, with a huge open-plan kitchen-diner that looks over mature riverside gardens – once breakfast is over, the kitchen is yours to use, as is the help-yourself larder of drinks and snacks. Not only that, you can have wood-fired pizzas delivered from the Woolpack, or have them shuttle you to the inn and back for dinner and drinks. And it even has its own stop on the little Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. It would be a great place for a family and friends get-together, as you can book the whole place for exclusive use.
