These rooms in the heart of Padstow are the budget alternative among the many Stein accommodation offerings in town, but as you would expect it's still pretty comfy, with 3 cosy rooms above Rick Stein’s excellent café. The style is quirkily chic, with brass bedsteads, distressed old wardrobes, fireplaces and shuttered windows that overall create just the right vibe for a short break by the sea. But it’s not all antiques: each room has a flatscreen TV, wifi, tea- and coffee-making facilities, complimentary water and biscuits and lovely en-suite bathrooms that come with Molton Brown toiletries, bathrobes. One of the rooms has a four-poster, a couple are dog-friendly, and the location is great too, right in Padstow’s buzzy centre. Breakfast is as excellent as you would expect. served of course breakfast downstairs in the café, and you get the usual priority booking on all Stein restaurants so if you want you can spend the money you have saved on your accommodation on a slap-up meal at the flagship Seafood Restaurant just a few minutes’ walk away.
