The most comfortable and best-value budget accommodation in Cardiff city centre.
East Tyndall Street Cardiff CF10 4BB 0800 019 1700
The YHA's newest hostel provides some of the best, most comfortable and best-value budget accommodation in Cardiff's compact city centre, with 150 beds in a variety of rooms that all have en-suite bathrooms. A re-furbished former four-star hotel, it's laden with facilities, with a bar and café, free wifi – and, unusually for the YHA, a 24-hour reception. Bedding is provided (though not towels), and there are also so-called 'premium rooms' which have all the sorts of things you would expect from a decent mid-range hotel, like towels, toiletries, TV, hairdryers and the like. It's fabulously convenient for Cardiff's principal sights, too, like the Millennium Stadium, as well as the train and coach stations. Budget city breaks in the Welsh capital? We doubt you'll look much further than this.
