City Arms

10–12 Quay Street Cardiff CF10 1EA

Just a kick away from the Millennium Stadium, the City Arms has long been Cardiff's premier watering hole for rugby fans, and on match days the place is heaving. But it’s much more than a match-day boozer, with an easy-going atmosphere that attracts plenty of non-rugby fans, both locals and visitors. The large central bar is lined with a terrific selection of chilled continental lagers and real ales, including many guest bitters, though the locally-brewed Brains is still the drink of choice for most people. A good choice for either a contemplative daytime pint or a more boisterous evening jolly.
