Pierrot et Coco is a shining star in trendy Shawlands, an area of Glasgow's Southside that is really on the up, with a flurry of new shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Indeed this self-styled 'mini department store' has been named as one of the reasons Shawlands is a 'hip place to live' by the Sunday Times. Pierrot et Coco offers a fun and engaging shopping experience, with the effervescent owner Morvern a joy to browse with and buy from. The eclectic, immaculately presented, goodies on offer include the likes of French kids' toys and unusual Turkish coffee, right through to striking jewellery from India and Christian Lacroix stationery. This little oasis has also been featured in the Louis Vuitton 2013 city guide to Glasgow. In fact Pierrot et Coco is alone reason enough to visit Shawlands.
