Strathclyde Park

This vast park curls around the River Clyde, spreading its green fingers across a whopping 400 hectares just to the south-east of the city. It has a bit of everything, from woodlands to wetlands and even a large loch, home to events such as the Great Scottish Swim in September, and you can waterski and learn to sail here too. There are children's' playgrounds, walking trails, picnic spots and boats for hire, and nearby is Scotland’s Theme Park, a great family option with slides, rides, soft play and even a hotel if you can't bear to leave.
