The Maven

Heading for cocktails at The Maven requires a certain leap of faith – there’s no sign and the entrance is up a green-tiled staircase next to Pagan body piercing, none of which is actually as dodgy as it sounds. Push through the plain doors into a stripped-down Prohibition-era bar with the most serious array of drinks in town. It’s a hangout for night-owl local bartenders, among others, who know talented mixologists when they see them.
